Description
Sumak powder comes from the dried and pulverized fruits of the birch bush, which is found in the Mediterranean and western Asia.
Sumac is a crimson coarse powder, its aroma is reminiscent of vinegar and lemon, its taste is pleasantly acidic and fruity.
Used in rice, bread, vegetables, lamb, kebabs, meat marinades and chicken. It is also suitable for falafel and other legumeballs but also for hummus instead of lemon.
Combine with cumin, paprika, allspice, chili, coriander, sesame, garlic, mint and parsley.
