Description
Garam masala is a mixture of spices that does not have a fixed recipe - it changes depending on the region of India that is made. It usually contains cumin, cinnamon, green or black cardamom, cloves, fennel seeds, coriander, black pepper, nutmeg and dried red peppers.
It has a strong aroma sweet and woody, with dominant notes of cumin, cinnamon and cloves. It is preferably used towards the end of cooking, in soups and dishes with meat, chicken or cheese, but also vegetarian with vegetables or legumes. It can also be used in eggs, rice, pasta or grilled meats.
The mixture is so exuberant that you do not need to add anything extra. Can be combined with tomato, garlic, coconut milk and fresh coriander or mint.
