Spirulina is a single-celled, tiny green-bluish marine plant. Its green color is due to chlorophyll while the blue is due to phycocyanin.

Spirulina is a complete food, rich in protein (60%), B vitamins, such as B1, B5 and B6. It is rich in vitamin E and β-carotene, as well as iron (58 times more than raw spinach & 28 times more than beef liver).

It also contains thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folic acid, Vitamin B6, Vitamin A and Vitamin K.

It also contains good fatty acids such as γ-linolenic acid, polysaccharides, sulfolipids and glycolipids.


  • It has antioxidant - anti-cancer properties. Studies have shown that its antioxidants bind to free radicals, which can have harmful effects on human health, such as cancer.
  • Enhances heart function. It lowers bad cholesterol (LDL), lowers triglyceride (TG) levels and raises good cholesterol (HDL) in the blood.
  • It can lower blood pressure which may be a factor in the development of chronic diseases such as stroke, heart attack, kidney failure.
  • Enhances brain function and memory.
  • Helps treat anemia. It raises the indicators related to it such as: red blood cells (RBC), hematocrit (HCT), hemoglobin (Hb), mean red blood cell (MCV), mean hemoglobin content (MCH), mean hemoglobin content against red blood cells (MCHC).
  • Helps strengthen muscle tissue as well as toning and performance of athletes and the elderly.
  • Stimulates the "good flora" of the intestine, contributing to the proper functioning of the intestine.

How to use: Half a teaspoon of spirulina in water or juice.
