Description
Clove is the flower of the Caryuphyllete tree, which is collected while it is a bud and dried. It looks like a pin and has a dark brown color.
Its aroma is characteristic and its taste, while it starts sweetly, ends in a spicy, peppery burning. It is used in both cooking and confectionery.
In cooking it is used to give aroma and spicy taste, but it must be removed before serving or used in powder form. Suitable for braised meats, stews, red sauces, meat broths, rice and soups.
In confectionery it is suitable for apple pies, jams, pastries, cookies, pies, tarts and syrups.
Properties:
