Description
Caraway is a native plant up to 1 meter tall, with thin leaves and white flowers. The seeds are collected from the plant for the preparation of wild cumin oil.
Its aroma and taste are more delicate than ordinary cumin.
It is used especially in Czech and German cuisine.
Typical recipes are the simmered knuckle with beer and cumin seeds and the pumpkin soup or plain roasted pumpkin with cumin.
