Maple Syrup grade C (189ml) - Organic Product
Description
Maple syrup is made from the juice of maple trees. In the cold climate of Canada where trees grow, they store starch in their roots and trunk before winter.
Early spring and for only a few weeks as it gradually darkens and becomes bitter they make holes in the tree trunks and collect the juice in buckets.
The maple syrup after its collection is heated to eliminate the water it contains in its natural form.
Today the name is protected, and there are grades that are given to distinguish their quality.
Extra Light, Grade A and Grade B.
The best is Extra Light and it is the early, the first harvest. Its special features are its content of manganese and zinc, also know that the two teaspoons give 34 calories.
Maple syrup is a healthy sweetener, rich in nutrients, which accompanies muesli, drinks, puddings, desserts, yogurt, etc.
The difference from honey is that when heated it does not lose its valuable nutrients.
This delicious sweetener is an antioxidant and contains riboflavin, which is essential for energy production.
It also contains a lot of zinc, but also calcium. Both its texture and its taste go well with ice cream or yogurt.
It contains a decent amount of minerals and vitamins, especially manganese, zinc and riboflavin (Vitamin B2) and a partial amount of calcium, magnesium and potassium.
After opening, store in the refrigerator.
