Description
Tansy belongs to the Composite family. It is a perennial poa that reaches 1 meter in height with a branching root, opposite leaves and yellow flowers reminiscent of chamomile.
It has been called the "medieval aspirin" because of its effectiveness in relieving pain.
Properties:
- Relieves migraines, dizziness and tinnitus.
- It acts against hypertension as it causes relaxation of the blood vessels.
- It is used for digestive problems including stomach and intestinal ulcers, in some cases of the gallbladder, gas, bloating, stomachache, stomach cramps, and anorexia.
- It is used for painful conditions such as neuralgia, joint pain and sciatica.
- It stimulates digestion and expels parasites.
- It increases blood circulation in the lower abdomen and acts as a uterine tonic.
How to use: Put 1 teaspoon in a mug of hot water for 6-8 minutes. Strain and add, if desired, sugar, honey or any sweetener of your choice.
