Marshmallow is a perennial plant with a long stem full of large funnel-shaped flowers and grows in temperate regions of Southeastern Europe. It has been used for many years in the treatment of digestive, respiratory and skin diseases. It is usually consumed as a tea or tincture. Usually it can be found as an ingredient in skin products and cough syrups.


  • Helps with digestive problems such as gastritis, colitis, stomach disorders, constipation, heartburn, intestinal colic and peptic ulcer.
  • It is ideal for inflammations of the mouth such as gingivitis and periodontitis.
  • It is effective in colds, coughs, bronchitis and diseases of the respiratory system with the formation of mucus.
  • Its anti-inflammatory action can help relieve skin irritation caused by eczema and dermatitis.
  • It is a diuretic which helps especially in the cleansing of the kidneys and the bladder.
  • It has antioxidant properties that can help protect our body from damage caused by free radicals.
  • Externally, it improves the pain and swelling caused by breastfeeding, improves the appearance of skin exposed to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, relieves muscle and tendon pain and reduces inflammation from insect bites. Accelerates wound healing time.

How to use: Put 1-2 teaspoons in a cup of water and simmer for 8-10 minutes. Strain and add if you wish sugar, honey or any sweetener of your choice. Can drink 2-3 times a day.
