Description
Horsetail is a perennial plant, found near wet areas such as swamps, rivers and streams. Its name ( Equisetum) comes from the Latin words equus which means horse and seta which means hair.
Properties:
- It is a diuretic and helps treat fluid retention. In combination with its anti-inflammatory action, horsetail is particularly effective against kidney infections. It also protects the urinary tract from infections (such as urinary tract infection, cystitis) and promotes prostate health.
- Helps absorb calcium and prevents the deposition of lipids in the arteries.
- It has a hormonal regulating effect and is ideal for menopausal women as well as for those who do not have a regular cycle.
- It has expectorant and emollient properties and is a medicine for the treatment of bronchitis. It strengthens the function of the respiratory system and acts therapeutically for the sore throat.

How to use: Put 1 teaspoon in a cup of hot water for 6-8 minutes. Strain and add if you wish sugar, honey or any sweetener of your choice.
