Essential oil of Gaultheria comes from the distillation of the leaves of the Gaultheria Procumbens plant, it has a light yellow color and an odor that refers to "medicinal" products.

This is by no means accidental, as Golteria contains up to 98% methyl salicylate, the main ingredient in aspirin.
